Rachel Jessie-Rae b.1981 Narrm, (Melbourne) is an interdisciplinary artist working across a range of mediums and approaches. Her recent work explores notions of the fragmented self in dialogue with the contemporary moment, with its abundance of material excess, dislocation and fragility. She has worked across both studio and participatory modes to create a range of projects including running a community art space from her bedroom, up cycling fashion runway projects, exploring surface as boundary in painting through the anti-art material of glitter, exploring collage through community and studio engagement, and has assembled others into large scale drawing projects.
